IIHF Team Canada

I am Canadian. As such I love hockey, especially international hockey, where we get to watch our Canadian teams trounce over whomever else is on the ice. The IIHF World Junior Championship is, in my opinion, the greatest of the international tournaments, because, it symbolizes what the game really is. It doesn’t have all the high priced egos that you find in professional hockey. The Juniors is a pure hockey. Now as I said previously, I love watching the Canadian team open up a can on their opponents, but there has to be a line there. Just the other day, team Canada played the eastern hockey powerhouse Kazakhstan. The final score was an ambition crushing 15 – 0, for the Canadians. I have issue with this type of game. I like that Kazakhstan has a hockey team, because I like that the game is expanding into a country where you wouldn’t expect. In that vein, I don’t like how Canada handed them a demoralizing blow, as it’s a good way to make them hate hockey forever. Stay classy.
